And her life was a monument to the past. Her present existed, only upon reflection. Yesterday reigned supreme. She couldn't stop the tides of time, so tomorrow would come...and be recognized, another day. So, I say to her, take up the gauntlet that is today...and be present, and grounded...in your now.

Please, Won't You Join Me For Breakfast?

I want to have breakfast on this little balcony...a croissant, fresh fruit, and coffee. I want flowers on the table, a gentle breeze (to invite the leaves to dance), and the warm, morning sun on my face. I want the luxury of a morning, where I have nowhere to go...and nowhere to be. I would love it, if you could join me on my balcony...for breakfast, conversation, and coffee. You must wear your jammies, your most comfy slippers, and ...your best disposition. But wait, this balcony won't support a small table with flowers and breakfast. It won't support the two of us, and, look ...there really isn't a room from which we can gracefully open the door to the balcony...it's a FACADE . Oh, the disappointment. But wait, LOOK UP .....my brief reverie switches to...another. As these balconies sit quietly and benignly, creating a beautiful facade for the lower half of this building, WHAT is going on upstairs? The blinds are closed tightly...almost reflecti

A Knock At The Door

If your house looks like this, you probably expect a knock or two at your front door. This house called to me....loudly. I parked in the street in front of the house, and walked up the driveway. I didn't knock at the door, because I had seen that the owners were in the garage, creating another something for their house and/or yard. I introduced myself, told them I was inspired to stop, and was then treated to a private tour of the outer limits of their home. They showed me this; they showed me that, and a little bit more of this and that. Obviously, they're huge Packer fans, and I knew they would be welcoming. They're very proud of their home...neat as a pin and all dressed up to go somewhere.. It reminded me of a little girl, playing with her mom's jewelry, and putting it all on at once. These were wonderful, warm, and welcoming people...I was invited to stop again. Then, we have this... How could you just drive by this house, without stopping?? I s
