The Ugly Ride....and The Side Eye

Last week, I had a solo road trip, and, I have to admit, they're my favorite. It took me back to my days as a road warrior. A 500 mile day was nothing, because when you landed at the end of the day, you were someplace you had never been before; OR, you were in Lincoln Park in Chicago, and who doesn't love that? This week, I shared my ride with my hubby.

Let's just say, our taste in music doesn't jive, and while he loves country music, I've never acquired a taste for it. Give me something current, or oldies, which is what we listened to today. He has a nice voice; mine is actually, barely tolerable. Of course, I sang along, because who doesn't sing with Foreigner and Journey? I sing loudly, because I know he just loves it. He mentioned that I couldn't seem to find a note, and I knew that. I explained that I wasn't tone deaf, because if I was, I wouldn't be able to tell I couldn't hit a note.

Anyway, the day is ugly...overcast, light rain, and gray. The pics attached, are all of the ugly ride. Best part of the ride...the side eye. I saw it several times today, and it always makes me laugh. With everything in the news the past several weeks, the side eye is comic relief, even though I don't believe that's the intent. I love to laugh, and the side eye does it, every single time.

Ugly ride.
