On the other side of this staircase, a two-year-old reigns....at least, when nothing else is going on. As my daughter and her husband fastened the last gold bow to the Christmas garland in their home, they felt a sense of accomplishment and relief...it was done! Little did they know, that in the great room, pictured under the upstairs hallway, there were many projects, still in the works...projects with perhaps, more relevance, to our society as a whole.
For example...dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were found riding on top of some of the train cars. We weren't sure what their intent was, but it's a good thing these companies carry liability insurance, as some of these cars carried passengers. After dealing with that, we found the two-year-old, busy trying to repair the tracks for the next train, coming 'round the bend. We saw that just prior to that, a cow was found stranded on the higher black bridge, and I'm pretty sure it took some coaxing to get her down. One has to know, that between the dinosaurs and the cow, scheduling conflicts resulted, and we all know the problems that can arise from that.
Also, he demolished a car wash that he had constructed with Legos, as it just wasn't functional. His design was imaginative, but he failed to leave enough room for a car to get through, and rather than tweak his design, he decided it had to go. Everything on that train table is part of his plan for the evening, I believe, and we can tell it involves a farm, some zoo animals, and apparently, some huge dumpster bins, in case demolition is involved, again.
SO, just when you're feeling relief and and that sense of accomplishment, for fastening bows on a stationary garland, remember a two year old, without a nap, is still hard at work.
