I drew a blank. It can happen to all of us, no matter what our age. We can't remember everything, right? Well, this one bugged me. I always, always know this...but I didn't...AND it went on for a couple of days...this one thing. My mind wouldn't let it go.
Don't we all have things we can't come up with, on the spot, at the moment we want to say it? Randomly, like this...right? I'm good. I always know where I am, where I'm going, and am always cognizant of the where, the who, the what and the why. Still, though, I found it alarming...maybe because it so rarely happens.
What was it I couldn't remember? Harlequin, the word...as in a harlequin floor. I've known, always and forever, that I love a small area of black and white harlequin floor. Maybe an entry, a tiny kitchen, a small bathroom, a mudroom...you get my drift. In a small space only...too much can be overwhelming...makes your eyes feel the need to adjust to all that commotion on the floor. BUT, in a small space? Perfection!!
I doubt that I'll ever forget that word again...as now, I can't get it out of my head. (FYI...Argyle was the word that kept coming to mind, but I knew that wasn't it. Then, all I could picture was an argyle sweater that my hubby has). Good times.
