Today, I Googled a "gaggle." I thought a group of turkeys was a gaggle, but evidently, I was wrong. What I saw today was a "rafter" of turkeys, taking their time to cross the road in front of us. Who knew? Is this common knowledge?
Anyway, to my point...I found myself choked up over one of the turkeys, as she was limping...badly. Nothing I could do, I guess. I mean, even if I had been able to capture her, and take her somewhere to have her leg looked at, how do they fix a turkey leg? They look like pretzel sticks. And, somehow, I can't picture myself in the middle of a rafter of turkeys, explaining to them that I only want to help...not sure they'd buy that.
Opened the freezer later, to find this. Does this make me a hypocrite?
