Looking For That Fork

Chess...my favorite game in the world...when played as a game. I've tried to think of ways to improve it, but then I realize, there really is no way, and if there was...it surely wouldn't be me who figured it out...as if, lol. The game itself is perfection. You learn quickly that in a loss, you have only yourself to blame.

When I say to readers and friends (when asked) that I don't DO politics...that doesn't mean I'm woefully ignorant of what's going on in the world. I don't delude myself into thinking that I know everything though...I leave that up to those who always DO "do" politics.

I'll leave my comments to fester there...not because I don't have a LOT that I could say, but because I know nothing that I say, will solve anything. My choice is not to enter the fray, but kudos to those who courageously do...truly.

An analogy here...world leaders are looking for that "fork"...that "gotcha." If you play chess, you know what that is. On the world stage, thankfully, it's not easy to find that fork...be thankful for that. Every now and then, you hear someone comment that they wish things were like they were a few decades ago...you know, a more "simple" time. That's when you bite your lip, walk away, and remember that you don't do politics. A "simple" time doesn't exist.

A side note here...I really do appreciate those who speak up when they feel the need arises. I read comments, give them consideration...then keep my thoughts to myself. Or, I write a few inane paragraphs, like this.
