Deep in a Canyon...of Concrete and Bricks

The years aren't slowing down, people...not sure if anyone's working on figuring that out, or not.๐Ÿ˜‰ Along with that (for me, at least), something has snuck in and surreptitiously rearranged some of my preferences. I didn't request that, nor did I wish for it. One day, it just was

For decades upon decades, my preference was for the big city. A walk down a sidewalk...deep in a canyon of concrete and bricks, was what I loved. I can't speak for anyone else, but never, did I think it would happen, that bucolic countryside scenery would (kind of all of a sudden) become my preference, over a bustling cityscape. Really, it's neither here nor there, but a shock, nonetheless.

In a city, wonders never cease. The canyon you're walking through, was created...by the visions of many. There, for you to behold, admire, think what you will, and maybe ponder the why, the how, the if, and the if only

In the countryside, a walk takes you through wonders of Mother Nature. She may have had a little help along the way, but she was the architect and the builder. And, as much as I appreciate the beauty and the creation of our concrete canyons, they just can't compare to Mother Nature's simplicity...and her majesty.
