There's a LOT going on here. I think it's missing something, though...a pigeon (or two) on one of those upper window sills. I have to say though...one of my favorite scenes...while looking over the rim of a cup of coffee...black, in case you wonder.
I'm always one to love a bucolic countryside scene...always. BUT, you ponder differently...if you know what I mean. We don't even have to be in a mood to ponder, it's just automatic...for me, anyway. Oh sure, if you're sitting at home at your kitchen table, holding a cup of coffee and looking over the rim, you may not ponder. You may see dishes waiting to be stacked in the dishwasher. Or, a stick of butter sitting on the counter, that you're hoping will soften quickly, so you can bake your much loved by family, "Circle Cookies." You know, things like that...
SO, the above...it might take us all to a different place. Could be, you'd walk by this in a small town that has seen better days...where this may be a source of pride, and pretty much all that's left of a downtown that sort of thrived, back in the day. Or, maybe you'd drive by and hardly notice, as it was one of many venues selling whatever it is, that inspires you to drop in, and leave a little of your money behind.
Anyway, I don't know the real story...and sometimes, that's better. Let your imagination take you where it wants, or maybe where it needs, to go. And then, order a refill.
