Blue-Haired Sophisticates...

I wrote in a previous blogpost, that when one visited a supper club in Wisconsin, it wasn't unusual to be dining next to a table of blue-haired sophisticates. When I wrote that, it wasn't unusual to see. They're not around anymore. Or, if they are, they're not usually found dining in a supper club. I'm at that age now, where some women chose blue over gray...back in the day. It's hard for me to wrap my head around blue hair. You see it now with younger people, but the blues they choose are different than the subtle blues chosen by the sophisticates. Can't say I'm a fan of either.

Fortunately, trends change, as some of them are really...kind of silly. I wonder when the trend of calling older women "Karens" will change to...maybe..."Jessicas", or "Ashleys." You know, common names of a generation of little girls named Jessica and Ashley, who are making their way up that ladder, but haven't quite yet reached that rung, yet, that makes them vulnerable to "name abuse." Not sure what else to call it.

Thank goodness, trends don't stick around forever. I can't imagine wearing a hoop skirt, or a corset. How does one sit with a hoop skirt, for crying loud. I don't know, really, what ridiculous trends men put up with. Handlebar mustaches didn't make it hard to sit...or breathe...
